My journey as a writer has been shaped by my personal experiences and the remarkable individuals I've encountered throughout my life.

Inspiration Behind the Book

My residents as a caregiver motivated me to write this book, particularly one extraordinary woman who, despite facing multiple debilitating health challenges, displayed incredible intelligence and a yearning for engaging activities. It was her spirit that inspired me to create "Minding Mother Nature," a tribute to her memory and the stories of others who have touched my life. This book serves as a healthy and fun distraction for readers, encouraging them to explore nature's wonders.

My Journey

I hold an associate's degree in Business from Yavapai College, where I honed my writing skills through extensive assignments. My professional path has included working as a summer camp counselor at a local zoo, where my love for animals flourished, and serving as the primary activities assistant in a memory care unit. There, I utilized my knowledge of the natural world to engage residents in meaningful ways.

Nature is my only "higher power," as I believe in the awe and complexity of the natural forces surrounding us. It’s through science that we can understand the elements that influence our lives, and I aim to share that knowledge through my writing.

Future Goals

I aspire to create a series of educational activity books covering various topics, from mythology to pop culture. My hope is that readers of all ages—particularly curious adults, seniors, and educators—find enjoyment and satisfaction in learning new facts and completing intriguing puzzles. Through my work, I want to foster a sense of achievement and curiosity that keeps readers coming back for more.

Fun Facts

In my spare time, I love to crochet, bead, and hand-sew—crafts that allow me to express my creativity in different ways. My favorite quote from Isaac Newton resonates with me deeply: "If I have seen any further, it was by standing on the shoulders of Giants."
